The Canadian Computing Competition (CCC) is Canada's premier programming competition for secondary school students, organized annually by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo. Students solve five increasingly challenging programming problems that test computational thinking, algorithm design, and programming ability.
The competition includes both Junior and Senior divisions, allowing students to compete at the level that best matches their experience. Participants write the contest individually using programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or C. Top-performing students may earn Certificates of Distinction, and outstanding Senior participants may be invited to advanced programs such as the Canadian Computing Olympiad (CCO) or the Canadian Informatics Workshop (CIW).
The Waterloo CCC Preparation Academy is designed for students who are ready to take their programming skills beyond introductory coding. Throughout this hands-on course, students develop the algorithmic thinking and problem-solving abilities needed to succeed in the University of Waterloo's Canadian Computing Competition (CCC).
Students work through carefully selected CCC-style problems while learning how to analyze challenges, identify efficient solutions, and write clean, reliable Python code. Rather than memorizing solutions, students learn the thought processes used by experienced competitive programmers.
Each class combines instruction, guided practice, collaborative problem solving, and individual coding challenges. Students progressively build the confidence needed to tackle increasingly difficult contest questions while developing programming skills that extend well beyond the competition.
Whether students are preparing for the CCC Junior division, working toward the Senior division, or simply looking to become stronger programmers, this course provides an engaging pathway to advanced computational thinking. The CCC consists of five increasingly challenging programming problems completed individually in three hours, with Junior and Senior divisions available based on skill level.

Envision Robotics is proud to be an approved contest school with the University of Waterloo's Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC).
Our students have the opportunity to participate in select official University of Waterloo mathematics and computing contests, gain valuable experience solving challenging problems, and earn nationally recognized certificates and awards for outstanding performance.
Classes will be held on Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, starting September 17th. Register your interest below. Fees will be $824.50+tax for the full-term (17 classes).
