Looking to seal a friendship? We at Envision Robotics have got something for you. A new lesson combining the principles of 3D printing and laser engraving lets Envision Robotics students 3D print a stamp handle, then laser engrave a stamp head with the Traditional Chinese character for “friendship,” and combine the two pieces into a handy stamp you can use with your own handmade inkpad over the course of two easy-to-follow lessons.
Traditional by-hand stampmaking was an artisan’s craft, but with the advent of 3D printing and laser engraving, today’s youth can create their own stamps for scrapbooks, art projects, and the like. Envision Robotics students, both new and current, are sure to enjoy this learning experience at our STEM studio.
